USES FOR ALOE VERA
Your skin provides a protective barrier against infection by secreting natural oils like sebum, that not only softens skin, but also maintain the normal pH balance to inhibit bacterial and fungal growth. Good skincare can reduce the likelihood of complications.
Sensitive Skin
Aloe Vera is a super ingredient for sensitive skin. The nutrients and vitamins in Aloe Vera will soothe and nourish your skin without causing irritation. The cooling properties of the plant help in soothing redness, infection, rash, and itchiness.
Sunburn, Windburn & Mild Burns
Aloe Vera is very effective at soothing burns, it is sometimes referred to as the “burnt plant”. It contains anti-inflammatory properties and a high water content helps hydrate the skin. The antioxidants in Aloe Vera restore and calm irritated skin and replenishes moisture providing relief.
Dehydration
Dehydrated skin lacks moisture or water. It can be caused by sun or environmental factors. Aloe Vera absorbs quickly and can help restore dry skin. It helps to seal moisture into your skin so that it feels hydrated. Insert skin sample and symbol as per current selling book.
Dull Skin
Dull skin is usually the result of a build up of dead skin cells or lack of oxygen supply to the skin (bad circulation). The enzymes that Aloe Vera contains can help exfoliate the skin to make it look smoother and glowing.
Sun Allergy
Heat rash crops up on your skin when it’s warm and humid outside. Aloe Vera has anti-inflammatory properties that can cool the skin and help prevent infection.
Lympheodema
Skin affected by lymphoedema can also be dry and rough and needs additional care. The skin on the swollen limb is stretched and oil secretion is reduced. The skin may thicken and become more stiff and less flexible, making it more likely to crack. Breaks in the skin’s surface can become an entry point for infection. Good skincare is therefore essential to avoid complications, using Aloe Vera or a natural moisturiser can be beneficial in moisturising and hydrating that skin as well as forming a protective film over the skin. It is also important to avoid harsh soaps and detergents that can strip skin’s natural oils.
Radiotherapy
Radiotherapy, or radiation, uses X-rays to destroy cancer cells in specific parts of the body. It is localised, only affecting the area of the body being treated and may make the skin in the treatment area irritated, dry and itchy. It may peel and become red like sunburn, but this will reduce with time. It is important to avoid infection. Skin reactions caused by radiotherapy can be reduced by following a gentle skincare routine. Aloe Vera may help to soothe and cool the area as well as provide moisture and hydration.

INGREDIENT LISTING REQUIREMENTS
On a product label, the ingredients are listed in order of dominance, with the ingredients used in the greatest amount first, followed in descending order by those in smaller amounts.
Misleading labelling on the market claim to be either 100% Gel (and therefore not 100% Aloe) or some can claim to use 100% pure Aloe Vera but the final product is not 100% Aloe Vera.
DON’T BE FOOLED!
Pure Aloe Vera juice straight from the plant is not green or blue but clear, although it may naturally darken slightly over time.
Products that are bright green or blue in colour, indicate that colour has been added.
